Revelation 21:4 He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.
We have all experienced pain and sadness in hard times here on earth. We long for the days when there will be no more pain or death. Hard times will pass away and there will be joy. Until that time, we turn to God for comfort. All earthly comforts fail in comparison – especially extra food, which ultimately only robs us of our joy and peace.
Dear heavenly Father, I'm blessed because I can always trust you to be a faithful father to me. I thank you that your Word assures me that you will wipe away every tear from my eyes. If I struggle today with my eating, please help me to remember to turn to you for comfort instead of looking for false comfort in unhealthy foods. Amen.
