
1 Peter 5:7 Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.
Anxiety is prevalent more today than ever. According to Medical News Today, anxiety disorders affect one in five people. Even people without an anxiety disorder feels anxious at times though – it affects us all. Sugar is known to increase anxiety, so a diet low in sugar can help lower our anxiety. So, when we feel anxious, we do well to go to God’s Word for comfort and strength, rather than turning to sugar and other junk food which just makes the anxiety worse.
Dear God, I pray that you take my cares, worries, and anxieties so that I will not need to focus on them. They distract me when I need to put my focus on you.
I'm thankful that your Word promises me that if I surrender my cares to you that you will lift my burdens, cares, worries and anxieties as I turn them into prayers for your help and guidance.
So Lord, I want to follow you more closely today in all my ways and in all my chores. Help me to eat better and not give in to eating binge foods period today I cast this care on you because you care for me. Amen.
