Romans 8:38-39 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
We know we fall short of the perfection God requires, and sometimes we feel that God could not possibly love us. Sometimes we eat because of shame and guilt because of things we have done, or things that have been done to us. God’s word assures us that we are loved no matter what! Take comfort in that and instead of reaching for food, try bowing your head in prayer and thanking God for the forgiveness that He has given us all through His son, Jesus.
Dear Lord Jesus, I thank you that your Word promises that nothing can separate me from your love, dear God. Thank you for helping me and forgiving me when I struggle and fall short of your ways. When I choose to do things my own way. Help me to repent and follow you instead. Amen!
