Saturday Step: Step Four



Step Four helps us take inventory of our lives. We write down the people and institutions who we have a resentment against, what caused the resentment, and our part in it. It often feels like we have not had a part in our past hurts, but taking Step Four shows us that we usually have a part in it, no matter how small. When we see our patterns, it helps us learn and grow to be the kind of people God would have us be. It's a process, and it leads to forgiveness and healing. The healing helps bring us toward abstinence of our binge foods and long-lasting recovery from compulsive overeating as we make it a way of life. May God bless you through this process!
