The start of a new year often brings resolutions for better health, but if you’re like me, you might wonder, How is it even possible?
I used to struggle with diets, losing weight, and gaining it all back. It’s not your fault—sugar and chemicals in food are addictive.
Just like an alcoholic avoids alcohol, we need to abstain from binge foods to break free. I used to think moderation was the answer, but for me, it wasn’t. Abstaining from those foods was the key to finally finding freedom.
It is possible! I’ve done it, and so have many others. With God’s support and a community of like-minded people, you can overcome this too.
Start by committing to two weeks. Find a 12-step group, a sponsor, and work the steps as fast as you can. Be honest about your food, and you’ll be amazed at what’s possible.
