Healthy Recipe

Writer: Julie KleinhansJulie Kleinhans

Salads. Not all salads are healthy and low calorie. It's important to note what is going into the salad. Use measured amounts of dressing sparingly. Most salad dressings are high in fat and calories. It's okay to use cheese, nuts, and seeds, but I recommend choosing just one of these items for your salad - not all three. Adding vegetables is fine, but avoid corn or other high-starch toppings. Also, I recommend adding protein such as ham or chicken. It's not only healthy but will keep you feeling full longer. Enjoy!
